Capsule | Third Trimester Staples

I'm in the homestretch of this pregnancy ... 32 weeks today! While there are advantages to going through this last phase in the dead of winter (most days I'm just home in my sweatpants) - layering for the cold can prove challenging.

It's been tempting to buy a lot of new layers that will fit me right now, but I'm really trying hard not to buy things that I'll have to put away in storage or donate once I deliver.

As far as maternity jeans go, a pair of black skinny jeans feels like a good investment since you can dress them up or down and they go with absolutely everything. I've been pleased with this pair from Madewell - they have enough stretch but not so much that they start falling off after a few wears.

This black and ivory striped top has been a part of my capsule wardrobe every season and I'm still getting a lot of use out of it!

My new coat this season from AYR is a nice mix of comfortable and polished. I'm looking forward to wearing it belted once I don't have to deal with the belly but I love how it looks loose and open as well.
