Capsule | Feminine + Flowy

I love the fierce side of being a woman: owning my voice, making things happen, and empowering other women to do the same.
It feels strong and powerful.
But over the last few years I’ve been leaning into what it looks, feels, and sounds like to embrace my femininity. What is the feminine side of being a woman? And does it have the same sort of strength that my fierce side has?
To me femininity lies within the details and transitions. It’s about the little things. Maybe even things that no one else will see, but that you take notice of. Perhaps it’s the cute matching bra and panty set under your jeans and t-shirt. Or the way you fix your hair, or pick up your coffee mug. It’s in the candles lit instead of the overhead light. It’s in the slight head tilt and flirty smile, the painted toe nails, and handwritten thank you card.
It’s in offering a hug or an encouraging word to a sister and friend. It’s when we want to put up defenses, but instead choose to let the walls down and be vulnerable. It’s in the moments where we let ourselves need others and be needed. It’s extending grace and patience, and it’s full of strength. Femininity is fluid and flowy but don’t be mistaken; it is not weak.
XO,
