Thank you Newsstand Studio at 1 Rockefeller Plaza for producing this podcast!!
Something that has been on my mind a lot lately is the idea of letting go versus giving up. And based on the number of DMs I received when I shared about this on IG stories, it seems it’s been on a lot of your minds too. So…what is the difference between letting go and giving up, and why does it matter?
If You Spot It, You Got It
“What we resist in others often are characteristics that we resist in ourselves.”
Are you in your own way? Is it possible you could be your own roadblock? Maybe you’re even stuck in a victim mentality?
The Space Between
I was dedicated to not being in my own way, so I put myself out there, did online dating, went on first dates… I’ve put in the work. But now I’m tired.
“There’s been times I feel like a fraud. Other people are getting results from my coaching, but why am I not?”
Stop Should-ing All Over Yourself
‘Should’ doesn’t deal with our hearts. ‘Should’ deals with obligation or external pressures.
“How can I be clear about what I want and not hold it with a death grip?”
So… What’s the Difference?
Letting go stays connected to hope and keeps the heart open and is ready to receive. Letting go believes for the breakthrough and then releases it.
Giving up is a self preservation strategy. It’s black and white. It puts hope to death. It’s a strategy of control.

Did you know that companies can claim their beef is grass-fed as long as the cow was fed grass at some point in its life? Oftentimes the cows will be finished on grain but are still marketed as grass fed. Paleovalley is clear about their process and their ingredients. Their beef sticks come from small, American-owned farms that practice rotational grazing. And their cows are always fed and finished with grass. Go to www.paleovalley.com and use code KAT15 for 15% off your first purchase.
