The Refined HOW TO STYLE YOUR STAPLES: The White Oxford

How to Style your Staples Edition #2:  The White Oxford

Dear White Oxford,

I love you.  Very very very much.  I sort of want to wear you every day!  That’s all.

XO,

Kat

Ladies, the white oxford is a wardrobe essential.  Gone are the days when a white oxford is for a man heading off to his 9-5.  Whether you are cleaning the house, heading to the beach, out to drinks with the ladies on a Friday night, a client meeting, or shopping with friends, your white oxford is a piece you can wear anywhere!

Em I truly think you and Jenna Lyons are soulmates.  The Coral lips + leopard heels adds some spunk to this classic look.  Don’t be afraid to accessorize ladies.  A simple outfit can instantly be taken up 10 notches with a few poppy pieces of jewelry + accents!

So my outfit I love because this flowy high-wasted skirt is just so fun!  When I saw it in the window at Anthropologie I knew I had to have it, and I knew instantly that I would pair it with my favorite White Oxford from Apolis. The look goes wonderfully with my Boho-Prep thing I got going:) (Thanks Aaron Young for the rad photos!)

Jenn Pinkston of The Effortless Chic is just cute as a button.  She really is living up to her namesake right now as she makes this look seem so effortless!  We shot in LA last week, and I just adore Jen.  She is such a lovely person inside and out!

Erin of Apartment 34 is a woman I have yet to meet in real life (she’s based out of San Francisco and her and Em have become fast friends).  What I do know about this lady is that she has immaculate taste, and you know I always love a girl who is not afraid to POP THAT COLLAR!  Jeans + Ankle Jeans + Chunky Heels = Perfection.

What I love about Casey is her sweet spirit.  Everything she does has soul, depth, and passion.  The woman you experience on her blog is the woman you experience in real life.  She is such a gift to us!  Casey stays classy with her white oxford tucked in, yet keeps her edge of bohemia with her slouchy trousers.  I love this!

Sara from Glitter and Grace just makes me happy because she is never afraid of a little sparkle (hence the name of her blog!),  She’s one of those gals that is constantly smiling as she talks and is simply a joy to be around.  This sparkly skirt and tied white oxford is just SOOO her.

Hilary of Dean Street Society just oozes class.  Her bows just make me happy.  What I love about this look is how polished it is.  This is the perfect outfit for a day of client meetings and running around the town.  It’s so interesting how versatile this simple white oxford can be!
