LISTEN NOW: ITUNES // SPOTIFY // STITCHER

Guess who's back!? Shaun Galanos from The Love Drive! He is a love coach who teaches communication and intimacy skills! He is probably one of my top 5 favorite people to follow on Instagram— once you see his reels you’ll know why. The first time he was a guest on the podcast (listen here), we spoke about cheating, ghosting, finances, and sex. This week, we’re diving into more of your questions!

1. What should you do on a first date and how long should it be?

  • It doesn’t matter what you do as long as you’re able to “vibe check”

  • A nice way to approach a first date is plan for something short like coffee or a walk and give yourself the chance to expand it if you want. Dinner locks you in.

2. Who pays for the first date?

  • Is there a right or wrong answer here?

  • Can you be a feminist + still want the guy to pay? Or is that hypocritical?

3. If he’s not ready to be in a relationship, can you change his mind? The connection we have is so incredible. Why can’t he see it?

  • His mind may or may not change, but it is not up to you to change it.

  • Shaun shares a tip for proceeding in a relationship where you both have different expectations.

4. Thoughts on the idea of “right person, wrong time?”

  • Not everything is as simple as “right” or “wrong” maybe it’s just “not aligned with my goals currently” or “not ready for the relationship I want”

5. Why do men love bomb? It’s such a turnoff.

  • I talk about my recent experience with “love bombing” and my thought process as I went through it.

6. I’m in an amazing relationship but why am I so hung up that he’s not my type?

  • Be open to the possibility that you’re wrong about your type!

  • “Until there’s a problem, let’s not manufacture problems.” - Shaun Galanos

7. How to gauge intentions without making things serious or exclusive too quickly.

  • Ask in a casual way— it doesn’t have to be super serious.

  • But also, you don’t need to be the “cool girl” or the “chill guy” all the time.

  • “It shouldn’t really be that scary to ask someone what they’re looking for.” - Shaun Galanos
